Service
Commercial Plumbing
Ground-up commercial construction, tenant improvements, renovations and complex plumbing installations.
What the scope covers
Kinney's self-performs commercial plumbing on ground-up construction, tenant finish-out and renovation work throughout Central Texas. Our crews work from the underslab rough-in through top-out, fixture set, testing and final inspection, coordinated against the general contractor's schedule.
- Underslab and above-slab sanitary and vent rough-in
- Domestic water distribution — copper, CPVC and PEX
- Storm drainage, roof drains and overflow
- Natural gas piping inside the building envelope
- Water heating and recirculation systems
- Backflow prevention and pressure-reducing assemblies
- Fixture, trim and equipment set
- Pressure testing, disinfection and inspection coordination
Project delivery
Most of our plumbing work is bid to a general contractor off a full plan set. We review the drawings and specifications, flag scope gaps between the plumbing, mechanical and civil packages, and give the GC a number that reflects the job as it is actually drawn.
In the field, a Kinney's foreman runs the job and stays with it. Rough-in is sequenced against the concrete and framing schedule, inspections are coordinated with the municipality, and testing is completed so the trades behind us are not waiting.
On tenant improvement work in occupied buildings, we plan tie-ins and shutdowns around building management and the other trades rather than around our own convenience.
